West Ham United could send Tottenham down while ensuring their own safety, according to Opta’s supercomputer this week.
After West Ham’s 5-2 defeat to Liverpool, Opta’s Supercomputer gave them a 29.52% chance of avoiding relegation.
At that time, Tottenham fared better with a 95.5% chance of survival, despite their struggling season.
Since then, West Ham won 1-0 against Fulham, while Tottenham lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace, changing the projections. Opta now shows an improved chance for West Ham to stay up, raising concerns about Tottenham’s survival.
