Patrice Evra is a well-known player from Manchester United, enjoying great success during his time at the club.
The left-back joined Manchester United in 2006 and made over 200 appearances before leaving in 2014.
During his time there, he won five Premier League titles, three Football League Cups, four FA Community Shields, a UEFA Champions League title, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
After his time at Old Trafford, he moved to Juventus, then Marseille, and finally to West Ham United, where he retired from football.
Since retiring, the 42-year-old has pursued various interests, including signing a new deal in the United Arab Emirates and getting involved in fantasy sports.
The former player also collaborated with KSI and the Sidemen.
In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Evra discussed his interest in MMA, saying, “I grew up watching Bruce Lee movies and did some kickboxing as a kid.
“I’ve always been intrigued about stepping into the octagon and facing an opponent. There’s a thrill in facing the fear of being punched – or overcoming that fear.”
“It’s hard to explain.
“Some might see it as violence, but MMA is really a game of strategy. It’s all about technique and how you control your opponent, not just about strength.
“One MMA training session feels like playing a full 90 minutes of football.”
Evra’s interest in MMA shows a different side of him, and it seems likely that if he hadn’t pursued football, he might have considered a career in MMA.
