Portugal secured its place in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Competing without their suspended captain Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal defeated Armenia 9-1 in Porto. With this victory, they topped Group F with 13 points, confirming their qualification for the World Cup. Portugal maintained complete control of the match, effectively dominating Armenia throughout the game.

Portugal started strong with a goal from Renato Sanches in the seventh minute. Armenia quickly equalized with a goal in the 18th minute. However, Portugal responded with a relentless attack. By halftime, they led 5-1, thanks to goals from Gonçalo Ramos, a brace from Jota Neves, and a penalty by Bruno Fernandes. In the second half, Bruno Fernandes completed his hat-trick, and Jota Neves added another goal in the 81st minute. The scoring was capped off by a goal from Gonçalo in the 92nd minute, solidifying Portugal’s victory.
