On Wednesday night, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) drew 1-1 with Lorient, but they managed to keep their first place in Ligue 1. However, young player Désiré Doue’s injury was a setback for the team. PSG found some comfort due to favorable results from rival matches.

Doue left the field with an injury early in the second half, raising concerns ahead of next week’s crucial Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old, who had recently returned from another injury during an international match, played a key role in PSG’s impressive 7-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in their last game.

PSG coach Luis Enrique acknowledged that the extent of the injury was uncertain but expressed hope that it was not serious, describing it as an “unusual” injury. Doue was later seen leaving the stadium on crutches.

PSG took the lead through Nuno Mendes at the start of the second half, but they couldn’t maintain it. Igor Silva quickly equalized for Lorient, highlighting defensive errors from PSG.

In other matches, Monaco defeated Nantes 5-3, reducing PSG’s lead to just one point. Marseille, after a 2-2 draw with bottom-placed Angers, remains in third place. Lens suffered a 2-0 loss to Metz, which dropped them to sixth place.
