According to a recent report from The Daily Record, Rangers are now focusing on Cameron Archer as there is uncertainty regarding Ryan Naderi’s transfer. Hansa Rostock has turned down several offers for their valuable player, and Danny Rohl is looking into different striking options, including a player from Southampton.

The 24-year-old, who has represented England at youth levels, started his career at Walsall and then moved to Aston Villa. He made his first senior appearance in the EFL Cup and subsequently went on loan to Solihull Moors, Preston North End, and Middlesbrough for more first-team experience. In the summer of 2023, he joined Sheffield United for £18 million.

Unfortunately, Archer did not meet expectations in the Premier League, as Sheffield United finished last. He managed to score four goals in 29 matches. Following their relegation, Villa recalled him but later transferred him to Southampton for £15 million in 2024.

At Southampton, managed by Russell Martin at the time, Archer was brought in to solve their striker issues. However, he only scored twice in 35 Premier League matches and experienced another relegation without making a major impact. Currently, he has played 19 times in the English Championship this season, with six starts and two goals under managers Will Still and Tonda Eckert.
