The Colorado Rapids have signed forward Georgi Minoungou from the Seattle Sounders for $2 million in general allocation money.
Seattle will keep a sell-on percentage and will receive the funds divided between the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Minoungou, 23, scored three goals and provided seven assists in 34 matches for the Sounders from 2024 to 2026.
“We are pleased to add Georgi to our team,” said Rapids sporting director Fran Taylor. “He is a dynamic winger who excels in one-on-one situations. There are not many players like him in MLS, and he fits well with our playing style.”
Originally from the Ivory Coast, Minoungou plays internationally for Burkina Faso and has netted three goals in nine appearances.
