Real Salt Lake has signed forward Morgan Guilavogui from French Ligue 1 club RC Lens on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Guinea international comes with a transfer fee of around $5 million and will fill designated player and international roster positions.

Guilavogui’s contract runs until the 2028-29 season, with an option for 2029-30.

He has scored 55 goals and provided 16 assists in 218 professional matches across France (Lens, Paris FC, SC Toulon) and Germany (FC St. Pauli).

“We are pleased to welcome Morgan to Real Salt Lake and Major League Soccer,” said RSL chief soccer officer Kurt Schmid. “His ability to play in various attacking roles, along with his experience in top European leagues, makes him a great fit for our team.”

“Morgan’s background in elite competitions in France and Germany, combined with his international experience, prepares him well for this new phase in his career. We believe his skill and understanding of the game will be vital in creating scoring chances as we strengthen our attack.”

On the international stage, Guilavogui has scored two goals in 21 matches for Guinea and has played in two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

“I’m very excited to start,” Guilavogui said. “The MLS experience is fantastic, and I can’t wait to be part of it. To the fans, I look forward to seeing you at America First Field and winning many games.”

Real Salt Lake will kick off the 2026 MLS regular season away against the Vancouver Whitecaps on February 21.
