French midfielder Paul Pogba has officially parted ways with Juventus. Pogba is currently a free agent.
After previously wanting to stay at Juventus, now the former Manchester United player must accept the reality of parting ways. Pogba and Juventus have agreed to terminate the contract.
The 31-year-old has not played a single minute for the first team since August 2023 after failing a drugs test.
Pogba was subsequently banned for four years which appeared to end his professional playing career. However, on appeal the ban was reduced to 18 months.
The reduction leaves Pogba free to resume training in January and return to competitive action in March.
Last month, Pogba revealed he hopes to play for Juventus again, even willing to take a pay cut to stay at Juventus.
But now, Pogba has parted ways with Juventus, making him a clubless player. At this time, it is still uncertain where Pogba will end up.
The former Manchester United midfielder has not ruled out a return to France.
“So far I’m just thinking about coming back, about getting out of this situation. Playing in France? Why not? You don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Why not play in Ligue 1, I wouldn’t be obliged to say no.”
