Manchester City started strong on Sunday, taking a 2–0 lead against Tottenham.

However, the game shifted when Spurs managed to score, changing the flow of the match.

Dominic Solanke’s first goal was crucial, igniting a comeback that City found hard to handle.

In the end, City settled for a 2–2 draw, leading to Rodri’s visible frustration as he criticized the referee following a contentious VAR decision.

Rodri questions referee decision after controversial Spurs goal

Contention arose before Solanke’s goal when he seemed to foul Marc Guehi in the build-up, appearing to kick through Guehi’s leg.

VAR reviewed the situation but concluded that no foul occurred, allowing the goal to be counted as per referee Rob Jones’s decision.

Rodri expressed his frustration after the match, stating, “I know we have won a lot and people don’t want us to win, but the referee should be neutral, and honestly, this isn’t fair.”
