Malappuram: Sachin Devin, a young talent from the Sports Authority of India (SAI), has signed with Malappuram FC. He hails from Naduvannur in Kozhikode and is excited to play in the inaugural Super League in Kerala. At just 19 years old, he is one of the youngest players on the team and is known for his hard work in the left-back position.
Sachin developed his skills at the Naduvannur Scoreline Sports Academy. He earned selection to SAI through trials and performed well at the Swami Vivekananda Under-20 National Championship, helping the team secure third place. Following this, he was selected for India’s Under-20 camp. He is also set to play for SAI in the 2023 Kerala Premier League and the 2023-24 Development League.
He participated in the state senior football championship for Idukki district in 2022 and played for Kozhikode in the junior championship, where the team finished third. Malappuram FC, aiming for the Super League title, has brought together several promising young talents, with the team’s average age currently at just 27 years.
