After six games in the 2026 MLS season, FC Dallas is showing strong performance.
Dallas (3-1-2, 11 points) will take on St. Louis City SC on Saturday night in Frisco, Texas, featuring one of the top scoring pairs in the league—Petar Musa and Logan Farrington.
Musa, a Croatian international, is tied for the most goals in MLS with seven, alongside Nashville SC’s Sam Surridge. He has scored 41 goals in 66 matches for Dallas.
Farrington is just one goal away from equaling his career high for a season, with four goals so far. Dallas has won all three games this season when both players score, which occurred last weekend in a 4-0 victory over D.C. United.
Farrington opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and Musa finished with a goal in extra time, marking Dallas’s second clean sheet of the season.
“We’ve added a couple pieces that make us better,” Farrington noted.
He likely referenced Colombian forward Santiago Moreno as one of those new additions. Moreno made his first appearance with Dallas against D.C. United, coming on as an 85th-minute substitute.
Moreno almost scored in his debut, with his shot setting up Musa’s goal.
“He brings a unique skill set to the game,” remarked Dallas coach Eric Quill. “He excels in tight spaces and can evade defenders, which is a valuable asset as a number 10.”
Moreno joined Dallas last month on transfer deadline day from Brazilian club Fluminense. He previously played for the Portland Timbers from 2021 to 2025, where he scored 20 goals and provided 31 assists in regular-season matches.
His addition is expected to strengthen an offense currently tied for second in MLS with 14 goals.
On the other hand, St. Louis (1-3-2, 5 points) is coming off a crucial win against New England and a late draw at New York City FC, looking to build momentum.
Brendan McSorley equalized with a header in the 95th minute, assisted by Lukas MacNaughton, securing a 1-1 draw in New York. Swiss goalkeeper Roman Burki made six saves in that match.
St. Louis coach Yoann Damet expressed cautious optimism going into the match against Dallas. Despite having only five goals across six games—the lowest in the Western Conference—he remains focused on improvement.
“I see this as a good opportunity to build on our progress,” he said. “I don’t think this will change the season, but it’s part of the development process.”
