Kannur: 29-year-old Senegalese striker Abdou Karim Samba has joined the Kannur Warriors Football Club. Last season, he played for Real Kashmir FC in the I-League, participating in 22 matches and scoring five goals along with two assists. Standing at six feet tall, he is known for his skill in scoring from set pieces.

In addition to Real Kashmir, Samba has played for several top clubs in India, including Shillong Lajong and Churchill Brothers. Overall, he has contributed eight goals and three assists during his time with these teams. He has also showcased his talent in leagues across Turkey, Beirut, Morocco, Lebanon, and Libya. Samba began his career in 2016 with the Senegalese first-division club A.S.C. Jaraaf, playing a key role in leading the team to a championship title that season and earning recognition as one of the best players in the league. In 2017, Jaraaf F.C. won the title again, and he finished as the second-highest goal scorer. This marks the fifth foreign signing for Kannur Warriors this season.
