• AC Milan loses 1-0 to Lazio

  • Inter holds an 8-point lead in Serie A

  • Cremonese, Pisa, and Verona are at the bottom

AC Milan fell behind in the Serie A title race after losing 1-0 to Lazio on Sunday, leaving them eight points away from leaders Inter Milan.

A goal by Gustav Isaksen in the 26th minute was enough for Lazio. AC Milan missed a chance to reduce the gap after Inter managed a draw against Atalanta on Saturday.

There are still nine matches left in the season.

Isaksen scored by getting past Milan defender Pervis Estupiñán and finding the net, leaving goalkeeper Mike Maignan with no chance to stop it.

Milan had a goal by Zachary Athekame canceled due to a handball in the 75th minute.

Como moved into fourth place with a 2-1 win over 10-man Roma. Roma scored first with a penalty from Donyell Malen after a foul on Stephan El Shaarawy. Como coach Cesc Fabregas made key substitutions that paid off, with Tasos Douvikas scoring an equalizer.

A critical moment occurred when Roma’s Wesley received a second yellow card for a foul, leaving them down a player. Como took advantage, with Diego Carlos scoring his first Serie A goal in the 79th minute.

Roma is now in sixth place, three points behind Como.

In another match, Genoa secured a 2-0 victory at last-place Verona. Substitute Vitinha scored shortly after entering the game, and Leo Ostigard added another goal with a header.

Genoa is currently 13th with 33 points, nine points clear of relegation.

Inter Milan drew 1-1 with Atalanta at home on Saturday.

Vitinha scored soon after coming on as a substitute for Caleb Ekuban, and Ostigard sealed the win with a late goal.

Victory with 10 Players

Pisa, down to 10 men after Rafiu Durosinmi’s red card, still managed to win 3-1 against Cagliari, who also ended the match with 10 players after Adam Obert’s dismissal.

Bologna Goalkeeper Injured

Bologna won 1-0 against Sassuolo, thanks to an early goal from Thijs Dallinga.

However, Bologna faced injury issues ahead of their Europa League match against Roma on Thursday, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski suffered an injury during the match but had to continue playing as all substitutions were used. Nikola Moro and Lorenzo De Silvestri also picked up injuries on Sunday.
