St. Louis City SC has extended forward Simon Becher’s contract until June 2028, with an option for the 2028-29 season, the club announced on Thursday.

Becher, 26, has scored nine goals and provided six assists in 48 appearances since joining St. Louis on loan from AC Horsens in Denmark in 2024.

“We are happy to extend Simon’s contract and keep him in St. Louis,” said sporting director Corey Wray. “His movement and work rate make him a regular threat in attack, and he has adapted well to our culture. We look forward to supporting his development and seeing his impact on the team.”

Originally selected as the 16th overall pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver, Becher scored seven goals in 25 matches for the Whitecaps from 2022 to 2023.
