Kannur: The Super League sees a key matchup in Kerala between Kannur Warriors FC and Thrissur Magic FC. They will compete for the top position on November 7, Friday, at 7:30 PM at the Jawahar Stadium in Kannur. The winners can secure first place. Currently, Kannur Warriors FC has earned 8 points from four matches with two wins and two draws, while Thrissur Magic FC has 9 points from three wins and one loss.

Football fans in Kannur are excited as professional football returns after a long break. Preparations, including floodlights, are complete at Jawahar Stadium. Kannur Warriors are eager to play in front of their home crowd for the first time this season. The team consists of nine local players, with experienced goalkeeper Ubaid at the post. The defense is led by Nicolas DelMonte and Vikas, supported by left-back Manoj and right-back Sandeep, who can contribute to both defense and offense. The midfield is anchored by Luvsambak, while Abin and Asiyar Gomez bring strength to the team. Asiyar scored in the last match, boosting the team’s attack.

The team faces some challenges in attack. Despite creating many opportunities in every match, they have struggled to score. Captain Adrian Sardenaro, returning from injury, is the team’s hope. In the second half, substitute Muhammad Sinan has improved the team’s pace but has not yet led them to victory.
Under the guidance of experienced coach Andrei Charnisov, Thrissur Magic FC has become a strong contender in the Super League, adopting a defensive strategy that focuses on preventing goals.

Thrissur has not conceded a goal in three matches and has won all three consecutively. The midfield, led by Leni Rodrigues, has performed well. However, the underperformance of striker Joseph, previously a top scorer in the I-League, remains a concern for the team.
