Kannur: In the Super League, Kannur’s own club, Kannur Warriors FC, has reached the semifinals. In their last match, they defeated Thrissur Magic FC 2-0 at their home ground, keeping their semifinal hopes alive. The qualification was secured when Calicut FC won their match against Kompan’s FC in Thiruvananthapuram. Kannur Warriors finished fourth in the group with 13 points, having won three matches, drawn four, and lost three. Calicut FC topped the group with 23 points from seven wins, two draws, and one loss, while Malappuram FC secured third place with three wins, five draws, and two losses for a total of 14 points.
In the second semifinal, Kannur Warriors will face Calicut FC, the group leaders, on December 10 at the Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode. The first semifinal will see Thrissur Magic FC, the group runners-up, go up against Malappuram FC, who finished third, on December 7 at the Thrissur Corporation Stadium. The winners of both semifinals will compete in the final on December 14 at the Kozhikode Corporation Stadium.
