Arsenal currently stands as the top team in the Premier League, but changes are expected during the offseason. Ben White, Christian Norgaard, and Gabriel Martinelli are three players who might depart as the club looks to bring in new talent.
As reported by Charlie Wyett from The Sun, Martinelli may leave if Arsenal can secure a stronger left winger, with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon being a prime target.
White seeks more playing time, while Norgaard, who was signed last summer from Brentford, is also keen to leave Arsenal this year.
Neither player would be a significant loss for Arsenal. Norgaard serves primarily as a backup, and White has been replaced by the younger Jurrien Timber at right back.
Martinelli is a talented player who scores key goals, but his inconsistency makes him less suitable as the starting left winger for a team aiming for Premier League and Champions League titles, especially compared to players like Omar Marmoush, Raphinha, Vinicius Junior, and Luis Diaz on competing clubs.
Ultimately, Norgaard, White, and Martinelli are all competent players, but Arsenal is looking to upgrade in these positions. The club aims to target a young right back, a top-tier left winger, and midfielder Sandro Tonali during the summer of 2026. Every team must make tough decisions.
