Tottenham’s transfer window underwhelms.

Tottenham Hotspur has been looking to add a midfielder for some time. Last winter, they made headlines by signing Conor Gallagher, successfully outbidding Villa for his transfer.

Now, Tottenham scouts are heading to Germany to find an exciting midfielder from the Bundesliga to enhance their squad.

Tottenham eyeing €60m-rated Bundesliga midfielder

BILD reports that Felix Nmecha’s position at Dortmund is uncertain, even though the club aims to develop him. Tottenham is interested in the 25-year-old as they prepare for the 2026–27 season.

The report suggests that Spurs could acquire Nmecha next summer for around €60m (£50–52m), as Dortmund may be open to selling him if a solid offer comes in.

The report claims that Nmecha “would probably leave” if a €60m bid is made. While Dortmund hopes to keep him, the challenges of the upcoming transfer window mean several key players are being evaluated.

Nmecha’s future is described as precarious.

Dortmund’s selling stance and Tottenham’s potential move for Nmecha

Dortmund typically sells players, and with Nmecha’s contract running until 2028, they have the power to demand a hefty transfer fee.

For Tottenham, spending £50m on a midfielder would surprise fans, especially given the club’s recent focus on young, affordable players. However, acquiring a strong and reliable midfielder could significantly improve a squad that needs better balance in the middle.

The club seems to have a clear idea of the price for Nmecha. Whether they will act on this opportunity remains to be seen. It could enhance their midfield, but the decision lies with the management at Hotspur Way.
