Before Senne Lammens, Manchester United found it difficult to replace David de Gea as a top goalkeeper.

De Gea was one of the best during his peak, but struggled to adjust to the modern demands of the Premier League, especially in terms of ball handling.

Andre Onana, who took De Gea’s place in 2023, quickly showed he wasn’t reliable enough for the role.

Altay Bayindir, signed as a backup, also showed inconsistency during his few appearances, leading Ruben Amorim to bring in Lammens.

The young Belgian may still be developing, but his early performances in a Manchester United shirt hint at a promising future.

The goalkeeper position at Manchester United is often criticized, but Lammens has adapted well.

Due to the club’s long-standing faith in De Gea, Dean Henderson didn’t get a fair chance at the starting role.

Henderson, 29, left for Crystal Palace in 2023 after a good loan season at Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in him.

The Daily Mail indicates that Spurs are considering Henderson this summer.

Manchester City’s James Trafford and Noah Atubolu are also mentioned, but Henderson’s ‘leadership and experience’ are appealing to a team at risk of relegation.

Currently, Tottenham has Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky as their goalkeepers, but neither has impressed.

Henderson, who has represented England at the senior level four times, joined United from Carlisle United at 14.

He signed his first professional contract in August 2014 and went on various loan deals for experience.

However, his time at Old Trafford didn’t yield the desired outcomes, as he made only 29 senior appearances, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 25 goals without securing the starting position.

As an FA Cup winner with the Eagles, Henderson would be a strong addition to Spurs, but it’s uncertain if they can attract him away from Palace.
