Tottenham completes James Wilson deal with Hearts
Tottenham Hotspur has finalized a deal with Hearts for James Wilson, which includes a loan with an option to buy.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that the deal is underway, and Wilson is currently undergoing a medical.
Arsenal had also pursued Wilson but offered only a trial, not a confirmed loan. This move by Spurs shows their commitment to Wilson for the long term.
Arsenal’s trial offer falls short
Tottenham’s option to buy seems to have been the key factor in securing the signing.
While Arsenal was interested, their trial offer for Wilson couldn’t compete with Spurs’ guaranteed loan combined with the purchase option.
Wilson may not play immediately for Tottenham, but he is viewed as a promising talent for the future.
With the medical in progress, Wilson will continue to develop in North London as Spurs move swiftly to finalize the deal.
