The loanee has just not gotten going for Tottenham this season.

Tottenham made significant signings last summer, aiming to build on their Europa League success. They invested heavily in eight new players to enhance their squad for the current season. Among the recruits were Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Randal Kolo Muani, intended to boost their attacking options.

However, not all new players have performed as hoped. One standout underperformer this season has been Randal Kolo Muani. He joined on a season-long loan from PSG after Spurs outbid Juventus for him. Expectations were high for him to take on a starting role, replacing players like Dominic Solanke and Richarlison.

Despite showing promise in the Champions League with key goals against PSG and Frankfurt, Kolo Muani has struggled in the Premier League. He finally scored his first league goal for Spurs during the north London derby, where he marked his debut with a 7/10 performance, though it came in a disappointing 1-4 home loss.

Tottenham remain unconvinced of Randal Kolo Muani’s impact at N17

Tottenham’s appointment of Igor Tudor as interim coach might benefit Kolo Muani. Tudor was interested in signing him for Juventus last summer before Spurs made the move. Now, with Tudor at the helm, there is hope he can help the forward regain his form.

However, Ryan Taylor suggests Kolo Muani might return to PSG this summer, as Spurs allegedly lack a buy-option for him. Taylor notes, “While he’s had success in the Champions League this season, that goal against Arsenal was his first in the Premier League. PSG invested £78 million in him, so they will want to recover that amount when he is sold.”

The journalist added, “Kolo Muani hasn’t made a significant impact at Spurs. While Tudor might help him perform better, convincing Tottenham to pursue a permanent deal will require substantial evidence of improvement.”

Kolo Muani is expected to play an important role for Tottenham as the season progresses. With Tudor valuing him due to their previous connection, the hope is that he can flourish in a more attacking role. Fans are eager for him to regain his scoring touch and assist the club during this challenging period as they aim to secure their place in the top flight.
