This Saturday, the United States Men’s National Team faced a tough loss against Belgium during their World Cup campaign, ending the match 5-2 after a strong start in the first half.
A Tense Start
The USMNT began the match with intensity, challenging goalkeeper Senne Lammens early on with a low shot from Antonee Robinson in the 9th minute.
Weston McKennie also put pressure on Lammens with a shot inside the box in the 17th minute. In the 39th minute, he teamed up with Robinson to score a goal.
Zeno Debast responded with a powerful shot from over 30 yards, leveling the match at 1-1 just before halftime.
Levels To The Game
The game saw a change in momentum in the second half.
In the 53rd minute, Jérémy Doku dashed down the left and assisted Alexis Saelemaekers, who set up Amadou Onana for a goal.
The USMNT’s troubles grew when Tim Ream’s handball led to a penalty, which Charles De Ketelaere converted in the 59th minute, putting the U.S. down 3-1.
Despite this, Patrick Agyemang reduced the deficit, though Dodi Lukébakio also scored again, netting two goals in the match.

End Of Coverage On The USMNT Vs Belgium
The U.S. team has lost six consecutive matches since their victory over Belgium in the first World Cup in 1930.
With Chris Richards and Miles Robinson injured, adjustments to the team’s strategy will be necessary.
The next match will be against Portugal on March 31st at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The absence of Cristiano Ronaldo may offer the U.S. a better chance for a more favorable outcome.
