In a recent interview with Rangers Review, Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland discussed his future at Ibrox. As a free agent this summer, Butland is interested in signing a new contract if the club presents an offer soon.

“I don’t know. It doesn’t really come from me. I can knock on doors if I want to, but it’s not something that I’ve done. I love it here, and I love the challenge. I have from the get-go, and that hasn’t changed.”

Butland shared this when asked if he had received any updates on possible contract discussions. He also mentioned how much he has enjoyed his time in Glasgow, especially with an upcoming match against St Mirren.

His Rise In English Football

The 33-year-old England international moved up through the youth ranks at Clevedon United and Birmingham City. He began his senior career on loan at Cheltenham Town in League Two. After returning to Birmingham, he became a first-team player before joining Stoke City for approximately £3.5 million when they were in the Premier League.
