Liam Rosenior’s unbeaten start as Chelsea manager ended unexpectedly against Leeds United.

The team was leading by two goals early in the second half, but mistakes by Moises Caicedo and Josh Acheampong allowed Leeds to come back into the game.

Rosenior mentioned that his team was unlucky, particularly after Cole Palmer missed a late chance he usually converts.

This was the first time Chelsea dropped points under his management, yet some still criticized him.

Rosenior’s style in press conferences often faces criticism, but Wayne Rooney recently defended him.

Rooney, who worked with Rosenior at Derby County, praised him as a coach and described the criticism as “sad and unfair.”

He mentioned on The Tippy Tappy Podcast: “Liam’s a fantastic young coach who thinks deeply about the game. He’s got a significant opportunity. It’s really sad and unfair, especially since he has won seven out of nine games.”

“He’s only lost to Arsenal twice, who are a top team. The criticism he’s receiving is ridiculous.”

Rosenior’s Chelsea Tenure Off to a Promising Start

Liam Rosenior is unbeaten in the Champions League and has performed well in the Premier League, clinching seven wins out of 10 matches.

He’s already maximizing the potential of key players, which is encouraging for a new manager.

Palmer has made five goal contributions in his last two matches and is nearing top form at a crucial time for Chelsea.

Rosenior is also developing a strong connection with Joao Pedro, who has contributed to a goal in every league game since the manager took over.
