Palmeiras has gained a strong reputation for nurturing young talent in Brazil, producing players like Endrick, Vitor Reis, and Estevao, who have all moved to major European clubs.

Journalist Guedes believes that while Allan may not reach the same heights as those players, his versatility sets him apart.

“After Endrick, Vitor Reis, and Estevao, Allan is the newest Palmeiras academy graduate to make his mark in Abel Ferreira’s first team,” Guedes noted.

“He may not possess the same level of talent as those players, which could result in him moving to Europe later than his peers, but that shouldn’t diminish his abilities.”

“As a right winger, Allan was one of Palmeiras’ best performers in the latter part of 2025. He is strong, fast, and versatile, capable of playing on both wings, as an attacking midfielder, or even in central midfield. He is skilled and, unlike many young players, appears to be tactically aware and active off the ball.”

Despite having only played 64 matches for Palmeiras, Allan is not expected to immediately secure a place in Liverpool‘s starting lineup. However, Guedes sees him as a valuable option for coach Arne Slot next season.

“I don’t think Allan would quickly become a starter at Liverpool, even if Mo Salah leaves, but he would definitely be a solid addition as a squad player due to his flexibility.”

Harvey Elliott Comparisons Arise

The prospect of another promising Brazilian joining the club is likely to excite supporters, especially with Liverpool’s recent interest in new markets.

While some may hope for a player like Vinicius, Rodrygo, or Estevao, Guedes makes a different comparison, linking Allan to Harvey Elliott.

“I can’t think of another Brazilian youngster with traits similar to Allan right now, and while some may disagree, I see some parallels between him and Harvey Elliott.”

“Allan has notable physical advantages over Elliott: he is taller, stronger, injury-free, and more aggressive. These differences could be significant for a potential move to the Premier League.”

Elliott’s loan departure was disappointing for many fans. The possibility that Allan could bring even more dynamism adds to the excitement. However, acquiring him won’t be easy or inexpensive.

“Palmeiras aims to generate around £57m from player sales this year, making Allan’s exit likely. However, they reportedly turned down a £35m offer from Napoli, indicating that he won’t come cheap.”
