Matheus Cunha has been fined £50,000 ($64,640) and given another one-match ban
The English Football Association (FA) said on Friday that Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha has been fined £50,000 ($64,640) and given another one-match ban after he admitted to acting inappropriately following his red card at Bournemouth in the FA Cup this month.

In the FA Cup match between his team and Bournemouth, Wolves star Cunha was sent off in the last moments of extra time. The Cherries prevailed in a penalty shootout at Vitality Stadium. Referee Sam Barrott gave the Brazilian a straight red card after he grasped Kerkez by the neck and then seemed to punch, kick, and headbutt the full-back. Cunha then appeared to reprimand manager Vitor Pereira after pushing teammate Dan Bentley.
“Matheus Cunha will now be suspended from domestic football until Sunday, 13 April,” the FA said.
Wolves are nine points above the relegation zone
Following a two-game suspension earlier in the season for arguing with Ipswich Town security following a Premier League match in December, this is Cunha’s second suspension for misconduct.
Prior to his comeback against Tottenham Hotspur on April 13, Cunha, who is currently on international duty with Brazil, will miss their matches against West Ham United and Ipswich Town next month.
Wolves are nine points above the relegation zone in 17th place in the league.
