Wolverhampton has sacked coach Vitor Pereira after a poor start to the English Premier League. The team has only managed to secure 2 points from 10 matches, sitting at the bottom of the league. They have not won any of their last 14 games in the Premier League. Pereira joined the club last December as a replacement for Gary O’Neill, successfully saving the team from relegation last season. However, this season has been disappointing for the coach.

The departure of key players also affected the coach’s position. Despite fan protests, his contract was extended by three years in September. Yet, the ongoing poor performance led to his dismissal. The announcement came after a 3-0 defeat to Fulham yesterday. Currently, under-21 and under-19 coaches will oversee training. It remains unclear who Wolverhampton will appoint as the new coach to avoid relegation.
