VJ Edgecombe was named the 2026 Rising Stars MVP after leading Team Vince to victory in two consecutive games for the Rising Stars championship.
In the first game between Team Melo and Team Austin, Dylan Harper from the Spurs made the game-winning shot, helping Team Melo reach a target score of 40 points.
Team Austin had the top two scorers, Yanic Konan Niederhauser of the Clippers and Yang Hansen from the Blazers. However, Team Melo’s balanced scoring, with Reed Sheppard (Rockets) and Donovan Clingan (Blazers) each contributing 9 points, proved too strong for Team Austin.
In the second game featuring Team Vince and Team T-Mac, VJ Edgecombe from the Sixers scored 17 points, including the final 10 points and a step-back game-winner against Cam Spencer (Grizzlies).
Jaylon Tyson from the Cavaliers led Team T-Mac with 10 points, while Tre Johnson from the Wizards added eight points against teammate Kyshawn George. Team Vince secured the win with a score of 41-36.
