Chris Paul has officially ended his NBA career.
The well-known point guard shared his retirement news on Friday after 21 seasons in the league. This announcement followed the Toronto Raptors’ decision to waive him.
“This is it! After over 21 years I’m stepping away from basketball,” Paul wrote. “As I write this, it’s hard to really know what to feel, but for once — most people would be surprised — I don’t have the answer lol!”
Paul also hinted at his difficult departure from the Los Angeles Clippers.
“Some will like you and many people won’t. But the goal was always the goal, and my intentions were always sincere,” Paul stated.
