The Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg had a remarkable NBA debut season, solidifying its status on Thursday night.
Despite the Mavericks losing 115-114 to the Orlando Magic, Flagg, 19, reached an impressive milestone early in the first quarter. He grabbed an offensive rebound and scored with a layup.
Only LeBron James reached 1,000 points at a younger age than Cooper Flagg
Flagg’s initial points brought his season total to over 1,000, making him the second youngest player in NBA history to achieve this. The only player younger than him is LeBron James.
The projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft concluded the game with 18 points, although he made only 7 of his 22 field goal attempts. He also recorded five rebounds and six assists.
