Nearly a month after being traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Darius Garland made his debut with the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. The game was significant as the Clippers secured a 114-101 victory against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center. Garland contributed 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting, although he also had five turnovers, which was the highest on the team.

The 26-year-old guard hadn’t played since January 14 due to injuries to both big toes. Now that he is healthy and available, his return comes at an important stage for Los Angeles, which currently has a record of 29-31. Each game is crucial moving forward.

Darius Garland credits Clippers staff after debut

After the game, Garland thanked the medical staff for helping him return to the court, according to RTB Sports’ Farbod Esnaashari. He stated, “Just getting adjusted to LA, getting to know the guys, the staff, everybody around the organization. The training staff’s been with me a lot, really appreciate them just getting me back to this point. It’s good being out there with the guys, especially getting a win, my first win with the Clips. It’s a blessing.”
