Giannis Antetokounmpo is staying with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The NBA trade deadline passed on Thursday, and the Bucks did not trade their star player. Reports indicated that the team was “never serious” about making a deal involving Antetokounmpo.
If he felt let down by the situation, he did not express it on social media. Instead, Antetokounmpo shared a message on his X profile, calling himself a “legend” who does not need to “chase” a championship with another team.
“Legends don’t chase. They attract,” he wrote.
The Bucks star also included a video from “The Wolf of Wall Street,” showcasing Leonardo DiCaprio’s character asserting that he would not leave his company despite outside pressures.
