Giannis Antetokounmpo remains with the Milwaukee Bucks for now, but the trade deadline is approaching, and multiple teams are interested.

The New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, and Minnesota Timberwolves have all shown interest in Antetokounmpo, though none have put forth a proposal that satisfies Milwaukee.

If the Bucks were open to trading him, it would likely have become public by now. It appears these teams may need to involve other organizations to finalize a deal.

Another concern has emerged. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, there is some tension between Giannis and the Bucks regarding the direction of the season.

“The teams pursuing Giannis, like Miami, New York, Golden State, and Minnesota, are waiting for Milwaukee to reach a critical point where they start making counteroffers, indicating they need a few more pieces to complete a deal. These discussions will continue as Wednesday and Thursday approach.”

“The Bucks are at a turning point. They find themselves in a situation where they are increasingly focused on securing a draft pick for the latter half of the season. Giannis, however, is aiming for a championship and wants to compete in the second half of the season. This creates a clash between the goals of both parties.”
