The last time the Charlotte Hornets achieved eight consecutive wins, many players on the current roster were not yet born. That streak occurred in 1999, long before most of them had even picked up a basketball.

This changed on Thursday when Charlotte defeated the Houston Rockets 109-99. With this loss, Houston has now lost two games in a row.

The Hornets’ victory was marked by a well-rounded scoring effort. Five players scored in double figures, led by 24 points from rookie Kon Knueppel.
