Former Detroit Pistons player Jaden Ivey has been in the spotlight for various negative reasons this season.

After being traded to the Chicago Bulls and struggling with injuries, Ivey’s comeback did not go as expected.

Now, the Bulls have let him go due to conduct they deemed harmful to the team after he criticized the NBA’s Pride Month celebrations on social media.

Ivey continued his comments by going on another Instagram Live before getting on a plane, accusing the Bulls of lying and criticizing stars like Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

“They’re liars, bro. This is lying,” Ivey stated, according to Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic. “They’re lying saying my conduct is detrimental to the team. That’s a lie. Ask any one of them coaches in there, ‘was I a good teammate?'”

Ivey insisted he would keep speaking his mind, mentioning Curry and James, and suggesting that their championships won’t protect them.

“He [Curry] don’t know Jesus. …I pray he’s saved in Jesus name.

All them rings he got. All them rings LeBron got. All them rings Jordan got. All them people in the Hall of Fame who don’t know Jesus Christ. They got try to stop me, but I’m not. I’ma keep speaking the truth,” he added.

Ironically, Curry is known for his faith, suggesting Ivey might have been using their names for recognition rather than making direct allegations.

Regardless, Ivey is facing challenges, and it may take time before he finds another opportunity in the league, primarily due to ongoing knee issues, rather than his outspoken nature.
