Jayson Tatum has reached a significant point in his recovery from a torn right Achilles.
The Boston Celtics continue to perform well, currently placed third in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Tatum has been actively engaged in his rehabilitation.
As reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania, Tatum has begun participating in controlled five-on-five scrimmages with coaches. This marks an important advancement from his earlier solo training and limited exercises, indicating positive progress in his recovery.
“Sources tell me Jayson Tatum has started controlled five-on-five scrimmaging with coaches. He has aggressively attacked his rehab at every turn. There are more steps for Jayson Tatum to go through, including practicing with the team,” Charania stated.
“Tatum has expressed that he wants to return as close to his full self as possible. The Celtics’ medical staff will need to clear him completely before he can play again.”
