Paul, now 40 years old, never won an NBA championship. However, he secured two Olympic gold medals while playing with James on Team USA in 2008 and 2012.
Paul and James are close friends. James has mentioned that Paul is one of his three “very good friends” in the NBA, alongside Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. They were also famously photographed together in the “Banana Boat” picture in 2015.
Paul finishes his career as a 12-time All-Star, an 11-time All-NBA selection, a nine-time All-Defensive player, and a five-time leader in assists. With Paul retiring, James is now the only player left in the NBA who debuted in 2005 or earlier.
