Kawhi Leonard has been a standout performer in the NBA this season.

The Los Angeles Clippers faced challenges early on, with a record of 6-21. However, they have since improved significantly, posting a 20-7 record and moving up to 10th place in the Western Conference. Much of this progress can be attributed to Leonard’s contributions.

During the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend, Leonard had another chance to shine. The USA Stars took home the mini-tournament title on Sunday, with Anthony Edwards earning the MVP award. Although the MVP went to someone else, this is just a minor detail in Leonard’s overall strong performance.

Kawhi Leonard expresses confidence in his skills

After the game, Leonard opened up more than usual. When asked if he thinks he is the best player in the league, he was straightforward.

“It’s about where you guys see it. For me, I think it’s about rotation, day by day, week by week. Players come out, scoring big or showing great defense one night, and the next someone else steps up. So, for me, rankings are just a way to keep the excitement around the game.

“But yes, I believe I am one of the best when I am on the court.”
