The NBA’s 65-game rule for player awards may affect Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers.
He left Thursday’s match against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a hamstring injury, raising questions about his recovery time.
This season, Doncic has participated in 64 games, falling just short of the required 65 for award eligibility. However, there is a possible exception he could pursue, as reported by Tim Bontemps.
“There is at least a path where [Luka Doncic] could be eligible to be on MVP ballots,” Bontemps stated on SportsCenter. “One option is filing an extraordinary circumstances grievance because he missed two games in December for the birth of his child.”
