In a surprising move during the 2025-26 NBA trade deadline, the Washington Wizards secured Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis. This trade involves eight total players along with multiple draft picks.
This trade follows last year’s controversial deal that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers and Davis to Dallas. Over the past season, Davis was limited to 29 out of 83 regular season games. Despite averaging 20.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per game with 49.2 percent shooting, he will turn 33 in March. Additionally, he has played fewer than 60 games in six of the past seven seasons and is currently dealing with ligament damage in his left hand.
