Scoring 31 more points than your opponent is a notable achievement in sports, but doing it with 31-straight points in an NBA game, as the Toronto Raptors did in their 139-87 victory over the Orlando Magic, is quite rare.
This win sent a strong signal to the NBA. No Raptor scored more than RJ Barrett’s 24 points, while star Scottie Barnes contributed 23 points and a career-high 15 assists. It also helped them create some distance from teams like Orlando that are trying to avoid the NBA Play-In Tournament.
Now in his fifth season after playing at Florida State, Barnes is averaging 18.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
