Today marks the 63rd birthday of Michael Jordan, an iconic figure in basketball.
Over his 15-year career, which included a break for baseball and a return as an owner of the Washington Wizards at 38, Jordan built an extraordinary legacy in the NBA.
Selected third in the 1984 NBA Draft, Jordan participated in 14 NBA All-Star games, received 11 All-NBA selections, claimed 10 scoring titles, and won five MVP awards. He was also named Finals MVP six times during his championship runs. Additionally, he made nine All-Defensive teams, won three steals titles, and was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year for the 1987-88 season. On the global stage, he secured two Olympic gold medals and was a key player on the 1992 “Dream Team,” which dominated the competition in Barcelona.
This year, it’s likely he’s celebrating his birthday with his NASCAR team, which recently achieved their first win at the Daytona 500, thanks to a strong finish by Tyler Reddick.
This leads us to today’s quiz: Jordan ended his career with totals of 32,393 points, 6,672 rebounds, 5,633 assists, and 2,514 steals. Can you name the players with the highest single-game scores for each NBA team in five minutes?
Good luck!
