Trae Young has not yet played a game for the Washington Wizards, but he was ejected on Monday night. The new guard received a dismissal during Washington’s 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets after he stepped onto the court to argue with an official while in street clothes.
This incident occurred after Rockets forward Tari Eason knocked Wizards forward Jamir Watkins to the floor as Houston was advancing the ball.
A brief altercation took place before teammates and coaches intervened. Young, who was watching from the bench, walked onto the court and confronted a referee. This was enough for him to be ejected, even though he was not playing in the game.
Eason also did not finish the game, receiving two technical fouls and getting ejected. Jamir Watkins and Sharife Cooper were each given one technical for their reactions to the incident.
