During the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Brandin Podziemski had only three points with a shooting percentage of 10%. However, he began focusing on rebounding, which changed the game for him.
In the final quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ 128-117 victory, Podziemski recorded eight rebounds and scored 15 points. This momentum continued into the following game, where he achieved 15 rebounds and added 19 important points in the Warriors’ 133-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Brandin Podziemski’s rebounding consistency
Podziemski is a skilled player, but his scoring can be unpredictable. He has a three-point shooting percentage of 36.7%, yet can experience dry spells. While he is increasing his drives to the basket, he sometimes finds it challenging to maneuver past quicker defenders.
His rebounding had not matched his typical performance this season, but that changed this week. He became only the fourth player in Warriors history to achieve 15 points and 15 rebounds in consecutive games, joining the ranks of Kevin Durant, David Lee, and Andris Biedrins.
