The Golden State Warriors are not ready to end Steph Curry’s season yet.

This week, the Warriors announced that Curry will miss two more games: one against the Washington Wizards on Friday and another against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. This brings his total to 25 games missed due to a knee injury.

There has been speculation about whether the Warriors might decide to shut down Curry for the rest of the season, especially with several players injured. Starting wing Moses Moody will miss the rest of the year after tearing his patellar tendon earlier this week.

However, reports suggest the Warriors are still hopeful about Curry’s return. According to sources, the team plans to increase his on-court activity over the coming week. Curry has not yet been cleared for full five-on-five scrimmages, which typically indicates a player’s readiness to return.

The Warriors want to ensure Curry gets enough time to get back into shape before the play-in tournament in a few weeks. Coach Steve Kerr emphasized the importance of allowing Curry a proper ramp-up period at the end of the regular season to prevent further injury.

“We’re not bringing him back just for the play-in game,” Kerr said. “He needs to play some games. We need to give him time, and we are running out of games, that’s true.”

The Warriors have struggled without Curry, holding a 12-22 record in games he has not played this season.
