New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson shared that there is one common misconception about him that he finds particularly upsetting.
Appearing on ESPN’s “NBA Today” on Monday, Williamson talked about some of the criticisms he has faced during his career.
He stated that the one that bothers him the most is the idea that he does not care about his career success.
“What bothers me the most is when people say that I don’t care,” Williamson said. “I care a lot. I’ve truly cared. Sitting on the sideline while I’m unable to play is tough, and I can assure you that I dislike it more than anyone who criticizes me. I want to be on the court. This has made me reflect on myself. Am I doing enough? Am I focusing on what needs to be done?”
