Nottingham Forest is close to finalizing a long-term contract for Sean Dyche as their new head coach. Official confirmation is expected today. Dyche emerged as a leading candidate after the club sacked Ange Postecoglou, following eight consecutive matches without a win.
Nottingham Forest also considered other coaches, including Roberto Mancini and Marco Silva. However, Dyche’s extensive Premier League experience, including seven years with Burnley and two years with Everton, made him an ideal choice. Dyche’s previous connection to the city and the club, having progressed through Forest’s youth ranks, is also seen as a positive.
After finishing seventh last season, Forest is currently in 18th place in the Premier League and has only one win this season. Dyche’s appointment is expected to help stabilize the team and protect them from relegation threats.
Last season, he successfully kept Everton from relegation. Additionally, he led Burnley to six consecutive Premier League seasons, marking a highly successful period for the club.
