Manchester United’s goalkeeper department is strengthening across all levels, from the senior team to the academy.

Senne Lammens was signed on deadline day last summer, taking over as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and quickly impressing fans with comparisons to Peter Schmeichel.

Radek Vitek, currently on loan at Bristol City in the Championship, has been performing well, achieving nine clean sheets in 25 games.

In December, United added Charlie Hardy from Derby County to the Under-18s team.

Today, Harwick Sports announced that Solomon Honor has joined Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers.

Honor developed in Manchester City’s youth system before moving to Blackburn’s academy in 2022, also spending time on loan at Clitheroe and Atherton Collieries.

His return to Manchester represents an important advancement in his career.

Reports confirm he has joined the Red Devils and participated in team training today.

The 19-year-old trained with Adam Lawrence’s Under-21s during his first session with the squad.

Lawrence is back at the club after four months away, having previously managed the Under-18s and taken a role with Newcastle United’s Under-21s.

Last month, he left Newcastle and returned to Carrington.

With Travis Binnion supporting Michael Carrick as caretaker manager of the senior team this season, Lawrence has taken on the Under-21s as caretaker coach.

Solomon Honor is now with a coach known for developing academy talent, including promising players Shea Lacey and Jacob Devaney, who have excelled under his guidance.
