Leeds United is working hard to stay out of the relegation zone, currently positioned 16th in the Premier League, just six points clear of the drop.
In addition to strengthening their current squad, Leeds United is also focused on developing future talent.
The club has announced the signing of Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher from Manchester United, which they confirmed on their official website.
The statement said: “Leeds United are pleased to announce the signing of Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher, who joins the club’s Academy.”
Ibrovic-Fletcher, from Leeds, has signed a contract that will keep him at Thorp Arch until 2028.
“He is a versatile attacking midfielder who can also play in various forward positions, and has represented Serbia at the youth level.”
“Last year, he played for Manchester United’s Under-18s and made his debut for Serbia’s Under-19s, having previously excelled at U16 and U17 levels.”
“Everyone at Leeds United welcomes Edward to the club and looks forward to watching his growth alongside Scott Gardner’s U21s.”
In his first remarks as a Leeds player, Ibrovic-Fletcher expressed his excitement: “It feels amazing—it’s a dream I’ve had for a long time. I’m thrilled to be back in Leeds.”
He added: “I can’t wait to get started. I was here as a child and now I’ve returned. I’m a creative player who enjoys scoring and assisting.”
“Leeds is a great place for my development—I’m looking to improve as a player. Being a Leeds fan played a part in my decision. I want to get in, play consistently, and score. Playing in front of the fans would be a dream come true.”
