Sandro Tonali has become an important player for Newcastle United since joining in the summer of 2023.
So far, he has played 94 matches and scored seven goals, helping the team under Eddie Howe.
This season alone, Tonali has made 37 appearances and provided four assists.
His performance has caught the eye of several clubs in England looking to strengthen their teams.
Arsenal has held discussions with Newcastle about the possibility of signing him on deadline day.
Additionally, Manchester United is reportedly interested, as Mike McGrath noted in The Telegraph that Tonali is high on their wishlist.
Recent comments from Tonali’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, have also drawn attention. He mentioned, “Newcastle are having a hard time letting go of Sandro, and he wants to lead the club to the Champions League,” in an interview with TuttoSport.
Riso added, “We’ll evaluate our options in the summer. Discussions will happen later. We’ll see how the season ends before making any decisions.”
He emphasized, “There’s no preference yet. What we say today may change.”
Riso also pointed out, “Newcastle can’t let him go now, and there’s no reason for a move, especially since Sandro feels very connected to the club.”
With Casemiro likely leaving Manchester United at the end of the season, they might consider Tonali as a replacement.
However, with several months until summer, it’s uncertain what will happen next.
